i feel like short hair with shorter side and long/voluminous on top suit squared face MUCH better than mid long hair

like this shape is the best right ? it makes the face look even more masculine and squared

I would say get a mullet/wolf cut
Longer hair in the back and shorter in the front (still long enough for a fringe), with a taper in the side

Also your hair is frizzy to an extreme way, try to reduce the frizz and get a clean skin for a better contrast.
