Boomers control capital. Boomers control policy and laws. The status quo.

We all know looks matter A LOT. Like way more than a lot. It's no secret.

Are Gen Z looksmaxxing to compete, because they cannot compete in non-linear domains?

Your typical 21 year old does not have $5m in liquid cash ready to grow.

The labour market is linear and defeats you. Your paycheck is a survival stipend.

Is this economic evolution. Are people in general just competing for social capital and increased "luck surface" through looksmaxxing, because the alternative is to fade away?

Anyways, you looksmax to maintain your place in the looks hierarchy atp. If everyone does it it just circles back around to where you originally were genetically because there’s only so much you can improve your base

Accumulating any meaningful amount of capital through waging alone is cucked and a meme. For most it’s just a matter of survival

Rentcelling is a bigger blackpill than most things and never talked about on the forum.

Also, I forgor that looks mattered for like 3 years.

Brutal!

My life experience would indicate yes

Labor is exploitative, you are replaceable, and your position in the status quo does not change thru that alone, which means it goes deeper than that and you have to compete thru trying to reach genetic potential

Yes, I recognised this years ago. Problem is, at some point it stops being relevant because it’s no longer “my life is shitty because of my looks” but rather “my life is shitty because it is shitty” and no surgeries will turn it around.

Just like money, looks need time and compounding in order to provide the full measure of their advantages…

As long as the stock market keeps pumping 10-20% a year the value of waging drops by an equal amount. You need everything early to start the compounding that will let you compete in life.

So when the stock market pumps 15% p/a over 25 years, GenZ Jimmy's 5k grows to 164k while Boomer John's 3.5m grows to 115.2m...

While prices and cost of living pressure increases. And boomers are left with more money than they can spend, so they buy more stocks and property in retirement.

@Foreverbrad this is the blackpill

Depends on the job you have, if its sales or anything that is heavy in office politics looks will always matter but you cant looksmaxx your way into being a rocket scientist

And they give their grandson Gen Z Chad a million dollar allowance because it’s nothing to them anyway.

I don’t really mind that boomers are rich, it’s the passing on of wealth that is fucked. I’m only middle class and my parents only own an average house but the price growth on that asset alone pretty much makes anything I do with my life completely irrelevant.

Chad worked so hard for his success (parents gave him a million quid at 18 and lets him bang Stacy in their holiday home in Portugal... BRUUTAL)
