Is losing a leg worse than getting uglier?

I was talking with a friend, and apparently he thinks he’d rather become 10-20% uglier than lose his leg (from the knee down, like Terry fox)

Am I crazy or what? Cause I’d MUCH rather lose my leg than get uglier
