Is lymecyline going to do anything

My derm prescribed it as my skin isn’t responding to topical treatments I’ve read about it and seen people saying it doesn’t do anything and their acne comes back stronger once they come off it

Maybe, but accutane mogs. Imo accutane is the only 100% reliable treatment for acne. I would personally try to get accutane from the derm, if they refuse, don't use the lymecyline and go back to your derm and say it's not working at all.
