is making yourself intentionally descend temporarily a cheat code to making people perceive you as more attractive?

my barber butchered me like fuck,and this made this idea come to my head, if you look worse for a period of time,and return to how you looked before,could this make people see you as more attractive,since people will slightly forget how you look? Now obviously you shouldnt do this if youre mtn and over,but this could probably work if youre mltn and below.
