Is managing small businesses social media a good source of income?

So I'm looking for remote work right now and I was thinking about starting a social media management business and reach out to small businesses with weak social media presence, maybe charge them like $400 a month to update their social media daily and help gain them followers, does this sound like a solid plan? I have experience in Photoshop and video editing so I can make advertisements for them, and other things. Could this work good? I have another person interested in starting this business up with me so we could manage quite a few profiles.

That’s called an agency many others do it and if scaled properly it pays really well

Thats not a good scalable business. The problem is that companies with good revenues and budget already have online marketing agencies or inhouse experts. The ones that could be interested in your offer most of the times dont have budget to pay.

Scalable is a software, platform or product business. As a agency your selling time against money, plus investing time into individual advice of your clients. Thats not really scalable and if almost every normal iq person could start a agency its also not really interesting.

Why don’t programmers start their own software companies instead of working for one? Why do Video Editors edit videos for YouTubers instead of making their own channel? Why do people on this forum rot?

I literally don’t know I always assume those people are comfortable with what they do and don’t want to take the next step.
