I’m not sure if it’s worth the time and effort. It’s six years of schooling here in the UK you do it after HS, but then the pay is shit here, so I would have to do the USMLE to go to the USA, so more exams, and it’s not even guaranteed. Plus, you have to study at least four hours every day for six years. Is this all worth it? But then I don’t know what else to do every other career is just shit with low respect and no money and no freedom to leave/immigrate.

I would probably think about becoming a pilot if I don’t go through with med school tbh

Yes totally worth it bhai

The study of the human body is beautiful

Take the risk, have a Plan B available, move to the US.

High IQ and High status job anyway

Yes it’s generally worth it if you can afford it / have a good plan to be able to afford it

If u do residency in UK there's 20 states willing to let you bypass residency as long as you are full qualified doctor
This is my plan too

You dont need to study for 4 hours a day.

Idk how it is in england but here in europe first 2 years are ass and the hardest tests. You wont learn much usefull stuff. Mostly Physiology, chemistry, physics, anatomy and histology which is ass.

After the first 2 years it becomes far easier and more interesting.

First 2 year you need to study 2-3 hours per day if efficient. Make it high yield with anki and learn from old exams. It depends if you have inhouse exams or standardized.

Some inhouse exams are easy and enough to learn 1-2 days. Some like Anatomy and neuro are ass and you will need to learn 2-3 weeks.

Ask people what University gives the best work life balance aka the most previous exam questions.

For oral exams its also luck, to get a chill prof.

Well residency in UK is better then residency in US so you should tough it out in UK for a bit till you can comfortably be a doctor in US

How? It’s 7-8 years here for residency vs 4 years in USA for triple the salary
