Is "Minox dependent hair" total bull crap?

Does minoxidil affect healthy non-thinning hair follicles? If it was a natural hair line and I put minox on it anyway / use oral minox would that cause those normal follicles to then become dependent on minoxidil?

I'm under the impression that only new hairs from minox shed, and the normal ones are unaffected, but idk.

The general rule is anything you gain on minoxidil, you will loose after stopping. It won’t have an effect on non miniaturised follicles

no but they'll become thicker which is nice.

the hairs falling out entirely is a bit of a meme if you're on a dht inhibitor you won't lose it all.

There’s conflicting experiences with this. I’d say if you’ve made gains on minoxidil and don’t want continue to take it daily, take a maintenance dose maybe a few times weekly just to be safe
