Is minoxidil safe to use on eyelashes?

Whats up guys, my minoxidil just came in and I just used it on myself for the first time. It was a bitch to apply to my scalp since I have long hair but I think I figured it out, then I rubbed the bit I had left on my eyebrows, and rubbed the tips of my eyelashes with my fingers that had minoxidil residue on it. However, I think some of the min got in my eye and it doesnt feel very good. Is it safe or even worth it to use this shit near your eyes?
