Nothing is really "accurate" in the sense that nothing is static. Our faces are constantly changing depending on the specific angle people see us from. Women (unless you're very short) look UP so certain features will halo/failo you more than if the woman is eye level with you. I call it looks variance - depending on the distance, angle and wavelength of light hitting your face will determine your "range" that you appear to other people.

It's why contrast maxxing is so important - good looking people don't just look better at their best but also averaged out through all conditions - bone and skin do this the best. Contrast maxxing would be getting a tan and a chad fade, white teeth, thick stubble, eyelashes and eyebrows - everything contrasts against each other. Good coloring failos you less in brutal white lighting that will lower perceived hair density and skin color. Every single chad posted here in their prime has the golden glow - we need the sun.
