Been bingeing a lot of Goatis lately who says that constant gymming, running, or any strenuous activity is just bad for the human body and unnatural due to the raise in cortisol and breaking down of muscle. Cant find a single post discussing the same thing but i did find this study here.
Heavy-resistance exercises are found to stimulate markedly acute cortisol responses, similar to those responses found in marathon running. Chronically high levels of cortisol can increase your risk for a variety of health issues, such as sleep disturbances, digestive issues, depression, weight gain, and memory impairment. Excess cortisol also encourages fat gain, particularly around the abdomen.
Just curious and I will def research more, as i need to ascend my frame

Any sort of exercise or other strenuous activity is going to raise cortisol, that's not a good argument against working out.
Just exercise bro hahahaha

cortisol lowers igf1 = slower aging

yeah ik but im trying to decrease unnecessary cortisol as much as possible. its an antagonist to certain hormones like growth factor and lowers test.

If you don’t have cortisol you die

Cortisol is an essential hormone that affects almost every organ and tissue in your body. It plays many important roles, including: Regulating your body's stress response. Helping control your body's use of fats, proteins and carbohydrates, or your metabolism.

yeah ik the body releases it in doses throughout the day but humans werent design to lift heavy stuff on a daily basis or run for miles on end. If you watch any documentary on traditional hunters today all their daily activity consists of walking, throwing sticks and the rare sprint. no running or lifting heavy stuff for reps of whatever.

atm im just thinking bout limiting my excersize to daily walks, stretches and the weekly sprint for hgh. no more useless weights

nigga every organ in the body is a muscle
Eyes heart digestion
If you don’t believe in exercise I wish you a good life

Who cares about "cortisol" like a faggot ass bitch nigger when you can just supplement some Trenbolone which can just bind to the glucocorticoid receptor and eliminate catabolic cortisol.

still going to research this and i still do believe hard excersize is useless to an extent as i havent gone to a gym in like a year and my stress feels slightly better although just trying to lock in my diet and sleep atm to feel better mentally.

lifting heavy weights is bad, doing high reps 100+ isnt, treadmill is bad, jogging is bad, sprinting isnt, most modern fitness is terrible, just dont push urself to failure only as long as its fun its good

I have been watching him for a long time. I have to say i agree that it is generally bad. I do go to the gym 2 times a week for like 45 min. Just a couple of sets to maintain my muscle mass. I also focus on the most aesthetic muscles such as shoulders. I think if you work out smart and strategically your reward is gonna come at a pretty low cost. Remember that gains do not increase linearly with amount of sets done.

yes exactly i was thinking of excersizing x1-2 a week paired with daily walks and one sprint session throughout the week. physique isnt my biggest problem tho just want to improve my shoulder width. do you train till failure or a couple reps off? what do you think is best cuz i want to make the most of my 1-2 gym sessions a week

I do train til failure. Havent reflected too much on that really. Leaving 1 rep in the tank will not impair your gains. So it might be a wise thing. This is something that exercise scientists recommend as well.

Shoulders, upper chest, bicep and tricep are really the only muscles i want to put extra emphasis on.

Yes, men were made to climb trees and fight with animals for food

The only benefit to training till failure is slightly better muscle gains and signifigant strenght. im just chasing muscle atm and feel leaving 2 reps in reserve will be best based on this article https://blog.nasm.org/reps-in-reserve

yeah my point exactly
Yes we were bro what?

the hadza tribe walk and sprint to catch food, never run. all predators to humans irl are much faster than us anyway so running/jogging is useless in nature. your better off throwing sticks and rocks at them

the hadza tribe walk and sprint to catch food, never run
Hunting animals = raises cortisol.
Fighting other humans due to tribal disagreements = raises cortisol.
Defending yourself from predators = raises cortisol.
Sprinting = raises cortisol.

I don't understand the argument that they sprinted and didn't run to catch food, like sprinting is not running and would not raise cortisol comparably more than jogging? :lul:

sprinting is aneorbic whilst running is aerobic. completely different use of oxygen. and I don't doubt that sprinting doesn't raise cortisol but on the same hand there's an even bigger surge in gh that follows.

yo, i was listening to this retarded youtuber, and he said breathing is actually bad for you. yeah, man, it creates carbon monoxide, which is actually a fucking poison!

So how does an increase in growth hormone relate to your initial argument about how exercising is bad for you because it raises cortisol? That's irrelevant.

Yes, sprinting is anaerobic, but the use of oxygen versus glycogen to resynthesise ATP does not determine whether or not your body will produce cortisol. Sprinting would spike cortisol higher than a jog regardless of whether your argument was valid.

jogging/running is known to lead to constantly elevated cortisol though whilst cortisol goes down quickly after a 5 minute sprint session
