Why when I take a picture with the front camera of the phone my upper eyelids are showing and when I take a picture with the rear camera of the phone the exposure of the upper eyelids is minimal?

Is it because I look down on the phone screen when I take a picture with the front camera?

Looking at myself in the mirror the exposure of the upper eyelids is minimal
