I think I'm a norwood 3 at this point. I'm not even 19 yet and have a goku hairline that's very thin. I know that minoxodil, dutasteride, finasteride etc. Can help but is mine salvageable? This only really happened within the last 2 years, my hairline was normal but I just had fine hair when I was 16-17

High cortisol can lead to hair loss. You can try to see if you’re still losing hair once you lower your cortisol. It could also be a genetic condition or you just have very high test. Try lowering your cortisol first and see if it’s salvageable afterwards.

Thankyou, that actually makes a lot of sense since some stuff happened right before I noticed it start leaving. Is there any real method to avoiding cortisol or should I just strive to avoid stressful environments?

what I do to lower cortisol is I just tell myself that none of it matters in the end

Try getting good quality sleep every night. Fix your diet and go to the gym. Personally going to the gym helps me stop thinking about my problems. You can also take ashwagandha to help with lowering your cortisol. And try your best as much as possible to avoid stressful environments.

Yeah I think I knew I'd have to hop on it but I didn't want to have to worry about paying for a dermatologist appointment and prescription. I've heard minoxodil can have some side effects on your testosterone would it really be better over dutasteride?

Yeah my sleep could be it i was averaging like 4-6 hours of low quality sleep because of school for the past 2 years but now that I'm out it's been a lot better, I've been going to the gym a lot more recently too and noticed I'm less stressed. I'll have a look at ashwaganda now thankyou so much for your help

Dawg what have you been doing for the past 2 years?

Hop on fin/dut immediately

Dutasteride or it’s finished.

Topical minoxidil, RU58841, tret/taz on scalp (upreg of SULT1A1) can help with the regrowth.

Your density is recoverable. Your temples can be depending on if the follicle is still there or it’s slick bald.

u got two options:

1st. cope yourself into believing your shit will magically reappear, stress over nothing getting fixed+lead to more hairloss

or

2nd. get on dut/fin instantly

dut/fin isnt a blind coping mechanism either. after trusting the process and seeing it work your cortisol will lower and your hair health will massively improve
