Hard to judge from just 1 photo like that and 0 info on age and whether you noticed it actually going back (you could just have a big forehead)

I have a 5 head and I’m 21 and I’ve not ‘noticed’ changes I’ve just become more conscious of my hairline.

The other side, I feel that one is more straight

You need to compare it with some old pictures. Not everyone is born with a straight hairline. Can't say without comparison

I always have had a big forehead and deep hairline, I thought you could tell by the curve, between the side hair and top?

If it's always been like that, I wouldn't worry.

Don't take fin if you are under 25. Is your father bald? Is anyone on your mother's side bald? If yes, no fin gonna save you, just roid up. If no (they are at NW1-2 Stage) then take fin+roids.

My dad is bald, my maternal grandfather had full head of hair until he died.

Where does steroids come into this?

Do you have brothers? Are they Norwooding? Ask your dad what age he was fully bald.

why would you take oral + topical fin ? Take oral only.
Topical reduces scalp DHT and seems to be about as effective whilst only reducing serum DHT by 25

Yes.

He went fully bald at 45 except for back and sides. One of his brothers still has quite a bit of hair, the other is in between the two. I am a pussy so am apprehensive about finasyeride

You will be stuck at NW1 till your 30s if you stay healthy most likely. You don't need to take castration drugs for hair when hair systems exist.

you are definitely balding dont let anyone tell you otherwise. you can either keep it by taking finasteride, wear a wig or shave it when it gets bad enough.

You are balding. You temporal peaks aren't prominent enough.

Here are a couple pictures in better lighting, the other two were taken after I had a shower so my hair was wet.

what if it has always been like that though
You were always balding and literally never begun to live.
Nah. I find it highly unlikely that your hairline was like that when you were a child. It probably receded during teenage years.
what norwood am i?
1 or 2.

Same case and hairline here, I think you might be balding too bro. If u r really worried go to a derma but I wouldn't take fin until 24+

People will say I am coping but looking back on it my hairline has always been kinda like this...

I won't take finasteride, period.

I don't want to crash my DHT, it has many important roles in the body and god only knows what the cumulative impact will be of being DHT deprived for years on end. Sure, the 'immediate' sides of Finn are uncommon, 1 in 100 or something, but I have no idea what will happen when I am 40, 50, 60 etc...

You do need two points to tell if a hairline is in the process of receding or not. That is a high hairline for sure, but if you say it was always like that, then it's not "receding." However, by the looks of it, it looks like standard NW2-3. Get on Finasteride. Don't risk it all.

If you find that wiht every progressive haircut it looks worse and worse cause of your forehead, then it may in fact be in the process of receding. Or you're just noticing things more... who knows?

There is no way it is Norwood 3

I think its bec
I have an idea: you'll be bald.
I'd rather be bald than have some serious health problems from decades of suppressing an essential hormone.

If DHTs only role in the body was that it causes hair loss then I would take it, but that is far from the case.

No bro you're definitely not balding. Dont worry about it and get some therapy sessions if you want to get laid

Some people (including women) start out with approximately that hairline which looks like NW2-ish, but it’s just a high hairline/larger forehead. @HerpDerpson doesn't know what he’s talking about if he’s going do say “you’re definitely balding bro”

However, there’s a strong chance you have receded a bit back since highschool. And it’s also not an ideal hairline, even if it’s your natural one.

Some tests to see if you’re balding:

1. Is your hair thinner than it used to be?

Yes -> Balding

2. Align your head vertically (side burns vertical). Does the tip of your temple corner extend past the front of your side burn? If no, NW1. If yes, NW2. If it extends past the other end of the side burn (temple corner is at or behind start of the ear), that is NW3+

That is the definition of Norwood 1 v 2 v 3 btw, never see anyone actually lay that out so now you know. NW4 is 3 with a bald spot in the back.

From what I can tell, you are NW2. NW2 is not always balding (since some people have this hairline out of the womb, including women) but is usually balding.

3. Flex your forehead muscles, if you can fit more than one finger in between the top of that muscle and your hairline, it’s likely receded backwards uniformly.

4. Can you see any active hairs that are in front of the rest of your hairline? If so then it’s likely that area has receded or are actively miniaturizing (note, I mean hairs that are larger than the ones you would see if you look closely at the rest of your face

As far as what to do, don’t listen to fear mongering regarding finasteride or the retards ITT saying it won’t work long term. It’s safe and effective for life for 99%+ of people and the people reporting side effects often have undiagnosed or problems they don’t disclose in their forum posts like Diabetes, obesity, depression, Klinefelter syndrome, etc.

Even if you’re not balding, fin makes your skin clearer and increasing lean muscle mass because DHT causes acne and fin blocking the reduction of test to DHT raises testosterone by about 10%.

He might be balding a bit but it may seem a bit exaggerated because he appears to actually just have a large forehead
