yes, you should go for it infact i am the same age as you (almost 18 tho) and i am gonna get marpe as well, but make sure you let the orthodontist know about you expectations and tell him/her that you dont want downward growth in your maxilla but more forward.
Do you have a deepbite or an overbite as well by any chance?

i have a lil bit narrow palate (attached pic), and do i have a more forward grown maxilla, its not long wide enough so i look like a horse lmao. btw i do have a little recession in my chin, can the expanders promote chin forward growth as well?

Overbite but I had braces so not really anymore, my orthodonist said that marpe can’t help me and it is too late because bones cant be changed at the age of 17 in the mouth and said I can only hardmaxx if I want to do it

MARPE would be totally worth it for you then.
I dont think it would promote chin growth, but still can improve your front profile
