pallate expander is a looksmin if not paired with jaw surgery. If your orthodontist says no, you shouldn't do it. The pallate expander will only increase the width of your upper face and not your lower face.

it also wont fix anything that surgery cant do better

you should only get a palate when u have problems due to a narrow palate, like breathing problems or sleep apnea
