Is my surgery worth it

so i am 20 years old and been offered jaw surgery, its in the UK on the NHS so its free and I don’t know whether its truly worth it. I am currently suffering from an underbite so i think class 3 malocclusion and it doesn’t cause much physiological issues maybe airway issues but i might be exaggerating, visually its not great my maxilla is quite flat and recessed, apart from that I would say Im pretty average looking, i go to the gym etc, the surgery is bsso + lefort 1 but the bsso is bringing my mandible back by 2-3 mm and lefort forward by 5-6, I dont really have much choice as the NHS is going not going to prioritise aesthetics, I am not at a point in my life right now where i could pay for private jaw surgery, would genio offset this mandibular recession as my surgeon said he could maybe offer it, my mandible is okay now pretty strong gonial and with good ramus, would these be affected with the small recession, I think i will have the surgery regardless as lefort is going to help me i believe, any opinions? Thank you

My bite is really bad but like normally i dont even look that bad, i just don’t want to be worse looks wise post surgery

Yeah im kinda worried my surgerons and orthodontists are nice but idk if they will do it with aesthetics being considered at all, oh well it can’t be any worse than it already is, its more just looksminimising for like 3 months post surgery

Dude your dating life exc. depends on it. Ask them if they could do it aestethically good aswell such as really projected so you get the full potential of the surgery. If they offer you something, dont be a pussy and tell them what you want. And mirin dude i wish i could get free jaw surgery

Not neccessarily, I'm 20 and my I'm not really fucked up but my maxfac said she could larp a bit to the government and I could get most of my surgery covered by insurance lol, if I was 19 I could truly get it almost for free.
