i live in a country where a lot of people dont speak native, and chooses russian over it, and i hate this, most of them are saying “i dont want to learn native”, “native language is useless”, “native language is ugly and dumb”, in Almaty (largest city in Kazakhstan) some russian women made protest against fully kazakh school in neighbourhood. And sometimes i really want to get back public execution, to kill em

Yes it is. Hope you the best fellow brother of the Turan.

Our nation culture, language are dying, thats why, we are loosing our nation
nations are artificial though, and even if you care about it for some reason, then you can create a new nation

For me, save my nationality is very important, people just disrespect our culture and language living on “Land of Kazakhs” (literal translate of Kazakhstan), this disrespectful as shit, and theyre forcing russian language there

“even if i were Russian, i would respect my homeland” means i would respect traditions, culture and language of my birthplace, i would know kazakh and dont say things such as “its useless” “dumb language”

i said that what if you were of a different nationality? like german.
nationality is 100% randomly determined, so would you still love kazakhstan if the randomness chose germany?

Kazakhs living in the United States speak English. We have many programs where students from Kazakhstan with a good level of English (IELTS) and a good GPA can study in the United States on exchange programs. The IELTS test and English language learning are very popular in our country. I dont even think you ever meet Kazakh in ur life

I think you're right, nationalism as in putting your nation's cause first is what makes it great.

Normal? depends where you're from
stupid? yes

If you were german you would obviously love german people. Non-nationalistic people think that love is directed to some plot of land or a particular state structure, but it's toward your own people. There's nothing more sweet than hearing your own language if you've been abroad for long, for example. People are people everywhere, but nothing beats your own people.

no none of them speak English here when you try to talk to one they don’t even know what yes or no means it’s not like I’d ever learn kazakh but I’d never moved to Kazakhstan either

Yes, i guess you did not ever meet Kazakh in your life. Because they basically know English, Russian and Kazakh

every single nationality was created by the state rather than some historical tribe, and created not a while ago (19th-20th centuries).
so if you love the people=you love the state (even if it is tyrannical). Also they are not "your own people", if you live in dresden then you have nothing to do with another german from bremen. And you did not choose your nationality as well so loving if just because they are your people (they aren't) is 0iq move

nope i meet enough of them. they tend to think that they know English but then they say nonsense and blame me for not understanding

Sad if you only meet people only like that, but russians in kazakhstan living there by generations, and still dont know language

Right, so what are kurds, who have never had a state but instead have been heavily repressed, but still are a nation? Sure, what you described is true in some cases, that this national identity was awoken or even created by the state, and if you're like American, I get it, being nationalistic will seem kind of stupid when your country is made of hundreds of different nations who don't even all speak the same language. In such cases patriotism is a good cope, but healthy love for your own nation is nothing but a good thing.

Russians are like mold, they devour everything they touch. Ultimately, their intentions are always bad and selfish.
To preserve the culture and your country from them, the only way is to get rid of the mold:forcedsmile:

Nationalism is normal. It's normal to love your country & your people & want a better country & future for both of them.

the fact that kurds had no kurdish doesn't debunk anything, it was created cuz of turkey state as well. just like literally all nationalities were created in soviet union according on what language do people on some particular territory speak

You don't know history well, man. After the Russian empire collapsed, many nation-states emerged, with which the communists waged war. The fact that these states were used as the basis for creating republics within the USSR, with the preservation of the national language as a compromise, does not make their nationalities created. This is without taking into account the history before the Russian Empire, since Ukrainians, Belarusians, and Caucasian peoples had their own states in the past.

this is simple commie propaganda.
bolsheviks explored people's languages on a territory of former russian empire and then on language basis they created the nationalities

The process of national formation began even before the Soviet Union emerged.
