Title, let's discuss it thoroughly. Does it completely ruin your eye area? Is there any chance for redemption? I've seen people like James Franco pull through with NCT, but can the same be said about other people with the same canthal tilt?

Depends how bad it is. Having slight NCT is not an immediate death sentence in itself, but if the NCT is so severe to where you look like you are mentally retarded or on drugs, then you have a problem.

If your nct is bad it will completely kill your looks.

It's not that much of a death sentence though as it's fixable

Will changing eyelashes modify the instant aesthetic of the eye if it can become close to a neutral canthal tilt? If for example the eyelashes were slightly styled upwards so that they don't cover the end of the eye. Can hooding also affect the way the eye is perceived?

Yes, the hooding can effect how your canthal tilt looks. My eyes are hooded in a way that makes my canthal tilt look negative when it's really positive.

Yes, the hooding can effect how your canthal tilt looks. My eyes are hooded in a way that makes my canthal tilt look negative when it's really positive.

I think full hooding can create a more masculine image by protecting the eyes and hiding upper eyelid exposure. My father has full hooding and looks extremely aggressive even if he just has a neutral face. Hope I get hooding and a better browridge by late puberty

If you have a compact midface your eyes could literally be pointing at the floor and you will still look good.

I have a really compact midface. I think this haloes me as my features don't look spread all over throughout my face as opposed to how I'd look with a vertically longer nose and philtrum and wider IPD

I feel like that's the case. A strong lower third and a compact midface compensate for the somewhat lazy look of a neutral canthal tilt eye, although I feel like such an eye area would heavily improve with hooding and low set eyebrows. The latter is no problem for me - but I don't think I can acquire hooding through muscle hypertrophy, rather by waiting on for bones to set on my browridge. Otherwise, I could just get bloated to see if this somehow changes something.

Can facepulling and added support to the lower eyelid help to the illusion of a thinner, vertically wider eye?

It depends on the face and other features some people look very good with NCT like examples above but they would LOOK BETTER with PCT.

But in most people it’s bad, I have it very hooded eyes but bad nct and one eye is different to the other.
