Is oral tranexamic acid at 500mg good for skin lightening and how long does it take to show results?

nah txa oral is not the way to go coming from a person who has reveresed a lot of his tan so this is my stack for face&lips detanning:

Night:
Kojic soap (face + lips )
dry ur face completely
Tranexamic acid 5% cream (thin layer) wait 3 min
Tretinoin 0.05% (avoid nose/lips) — wait 2-3min
Thick moisturizer
Azelaic acid (diluted 20% for lips) — wait 2-3 min and apply a thick layer of vaseline on top of it

Morning:
Kojic soap (face + lips )
dry ur face completely
a layer of moisturizer
spf 50+ sunscreen

oral stack: vitamin c 1000 mg (take half dosage in morning and half in night)
and add peel after 3 months of this routine till then ur skin will become less sensotive and will tolerate glycolic peels at 25%

I'm actually on like 1g oral txa daily for like 2 weeks so far nothing yet heard results take a while. Not really using for lightening just for super mild PIH basically none but I just want to nuke any PIH still there.

But I'm pretty sure my skin tone did lighten in general from being on 1200mg NAC, 2g vit c, 4g of msm for 2 months now approaching 3. Along with many other supplements. I alr am light as fuck despite ethnic so internal stack plus spf 50pa++++ all I need

Don't use those kojic acid bar soaps they r so stripping to the skin and have up optimal ingredients. Just use 2 percent hq and work iup

Just cycle 2% hydroquinone and use 0.025% Tretinoin. It’s what I’m doing rn cuz I used to never wear sunscreen as a kid and I’m dark af now, just don’t use hq forever and always wear sunscreen. Vit c and niacinmide cleanser can help too

just be on 10mg accutane not tret as stacking 2 of those harsh topicals is annoying for the skin barrier

Obv not at the same time and I’m taking Accutane but it’s for this just use those at a low dose, different times, cycle it and just a ton of sunscreen and moisturizer

what dose and how long did you take it? im interested in starting but im afraid its cope. gluta is kinda expensive

Wouldn't it help with evening out skin?
IT WILL RUN 250 MG FOR 3 MONTHS BUT STACK IT WITH HQ+TRET IN NIGHT AND AZELAIC ACID IN MORNING WITH SPF 50+

just invest in hq4% and tret 0.025% and a spf 50 first

any update now ?

any update now ?
Yes been on it for a while now. My marks have improved more but I've also been on tazarotene and all sorts of supplements so it's hard to judge from what exactly the majority of my improvements have been from.

As for skin lightening I did have to shift to 1 shade lighter on my tinted sunscreen so it helped for my hyperpigmentation on cheeks and nose but I doubt it's gonna lighten ur actual skin from baseline.

Oral TXA is more of a supportive compound for getting rid of PIH AND PIE but for genuine lightening you should use hydroquinone on your face and cysteamine on the undereyes (a less potent alternative since undereye skin is thinner). I'm just waiting for my Indiamart to arrive rn so I can use those.

Anyway, my marks r still there but improving slowly but I'm sure with my current regimen all imperfections will be faded within a few months. Of course I can achieve filter skin quicker with more powerful treatments such as lasers, microneedling, polynucleotides but I'm saving up for another surgery right now and I think tazarotene, oral txa, spf50, light hydroquinone/cysteamine cream, other supplements should be enough.
