Currently 22 years old and had upper jaw surgery July 22 2022. The original plan was double jaw + expansion, but my surgeon later change it to just upper. My palate is still narrow but my breathing is not that bad and actually improved after surgery. Would palate expansion me a good move for me or waste of time? Found a surgeon who could do expansion even after jaw surgery, was told the bones have healed very well over the metal and it shouldn’t be a problem.

Didn't read the whole paragraph you wrote, but I will tell you is it's not cope it very obviously works since it tears your face apart

Cope as in doesn’t improve face. Is that true?

if you are an adult which i assume you are its cope, palate expander at your age would only move teeth for the most part. youd need mse (edit you clearly said 22 so yes cope pls mark solution)

you said your breathing already improved so you don’t really have a necessity for it unless you have like sleep apnea or something; so no it’s not cope but i doubt you’d need it unless it’s for pure aesthetic reasons
