I’d say definitely wear 100% cotton underwear and try your best to avoid polyester but if you wear a shirt every once in a while that’s like 30% polyester you’ll be fine. The main concern is the polyester touching the testes. Or if you’re wearing a high percentage polyester article of clothing while sweating.
