Stuff makes me fart insanely much, like I'm legit farting throughout the whole day to the point where it's been bothering my family. They smell really bad too, as if some rotten sandwich kept too long got into a microwave.

The theory within gym communities is that protein powder is not overrated and more protein = always better though. And it's an easy way to get in calories.

It’s ok but getting the protein thru food is always better.

Protein powder is great if you need to meet your macros but the general consensus is try to get all your macros from food if you can (although personally I use protein powder sometimes cause it's easier than cooking something.)

Obviously a myth. 1,5-2,5 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight is enough. More than that just makes you fat and doesn't help with muscle gain.

Whey protein is a convenient way of getting protein. It's cheap. But if you get enough protein (1,5-2,5 g/kg) from the food you don't need protein supplements. Whey protein has never caused any problems with flatulence to me.

Why’s everyone so against protein powder

i cannot lose fat while maintaining muscle mass without protein powder. this is mainly because of my eating habbits but taking raw protein without any fat&carbs really helpful.
if you are skinny and trying to put some muscles, it's so useless. just eat egg, chicken breast&broccoli.

It's better to get protein from food, animal protein is better for muscle building than plant protein, but animal protein also has high methionine levels. Methionine restriction has been shown to reduce aging and increase lifespan.

Protein powders can have high metal content, allergic fillers, additives, and mess up blood sugar levels. There is also a limit to how much protein the liver can handle per meal, iirc it was 40g.

The myth states that the body can digest only 30 grams of protein per meal. But it's a myth, not true.

It depends on lot of things such as how many meals you eat, how long you fast, muscle mass content, liver, kidney, gut health. But yes if you are young you can handle more.

No you have fallen for a meme, whey protein is a dairy waste product that some roid heads decided to sell to people backed by shitty research.

You are destroying your intestinal track drinking it, the passing of gas is your body struggling.

Drop that shit and stick to clean whole foods. If you must have a protein shake, take pea protein as it causes zero problems.

Clean whole foods and clean filtered water are the foundations.

How much are you taking?

Just eat Chicken breasts then. Its the total amount of protein that matters in the end(like 1-1.5 gram per lb of your body weight).Protein Powder is just another good protein source but not essential

to intricate to explain but it’s true, feel free to do your own research
isn't it just sugar? how would it help building muscle in any way? it's one of the worst things you can consume if you want to be lean

I’ve heard in a study that protein powder can cause nasolabial folds

Grass-fed organic protein from Switzerland here.

Protein is the least likely thing to end up as fat because it is the most difficult macro for your body to actually digest and absorb. A lot of extra protein is either used as very inefficient energy or it ends up in your colon where the bacteria break it all down and your end up with tons of gas and hard shits.

Protein is needed but once you hit the mark it's unimportant, carbs though can always be stuffed in

Never had stomach problems with PP. I use it a lot since I don't have time to eat food during the day.

Yes if you cannot get the amount of protein you need by diet, supplementing with protein is good. I use Brown rice protein powder.

ages you slower than whey

If you're farting too much, it could be:

1) Your'e lactose intolerant, switch to something else like egg white liquids.
2) You're not used to taking in that much protein, and you just have to get used to it.

Its really not.

If you get enough protein-rich foods then not really, but it can't hurt.
