i heard some say that it delays growth plate closure because it doesnt aromatase into estradiol (e2)

Dihydrotestosterone is important during puberty, hence why your dermatologist will avoid putting you on Fin/Dut under the age of 18.

Once puberty is over DHT becomes mostly negligible and since it is the root cause of hair minituarisation it's worth taking Fin/dut to suppress it.
