Group b rallying was was shitting at safety too, especially if you take in count that cars were 500-600hp with no cornering speed compared to modern cars (they have 380hp and have much more grip, still high t sport)
Formula racing is becoming more and more safe but in 2019 f2 race, Anthoine Hubert died in a crash. Rip to him and many others who died in the past in any motorracing
