Is rapping talent like any other talent or it can be developed.

I am talented in mathematics and pretty good at playing piano, but lately I have gotten interested in rapping primarily coz of lil baby, I think I might get good at it, but only through thousand hours of practice. I once even saw a video lil baby’s wife saying he even raps while brashing his teeth.

@thereallegend any advice since you’re rapper, like where to start any website you recommend.

It more has to do with marketing than anything.

Start rapping on TikTok. Drop a single with a music video on YouTube.

If you want your music to sound good, then you either need experience or money to pay someone with experience.

Water but, if you’re not black you’re not making it you’ll seem far too try hard and no one will take what you’re saying seriously and honestly if you haven’t had a passion for rapping since you’re a child you’re most likely not going to be good at it.

I’m not going to put you down and say it’s over but, you should rap as a hobby rather than seeing it as your way to money and success. Honestly even if you are good the markets completely over saturated; everyone sounds the same, dresses the same and acts the same it’s nearly impossible to become famous.

I am actually poor cell, as I mostly depend on money I make from maths tutorship for HS students, SAT prep. My mom and dad had painful divorce so he doesn’t even bother to help me financially, long story short, My mom also had stroke last year and long history other chronic diseases, she mostly lives by through her business and savings.

Why is it that people say you need to be black to make it as a rapper? There are lots of white rappers who make it in the business.
Jack Harlow is one of the more recent ones.
Machine Gun Kelly. mgk
Eminem obviously. The white GOAT.

I liked some of Tom MacDonald's shit before he started doing the stupid conservative rap.
Also this is a white woman not a man but Nova Rockafeller's shit before she started dating Tom MacDonald was also fire. But she never made it big until she dated Tom. Even though she was signed to Island/Def Jam.
I listen to Yung Lean and Bladee unironically on Spotify. Not just watching the music videos. Though I wouldn't say that they are necessarily talented. It's joke rap and autotuned to hell.

Rapping as in free-styling and song writing takes a lot of raw creative ability that most people don’t have. Modern rap is different tho. It only requires you to find a decent producer and then spit a bunch of random shit into the mic and the producer will make it sound good.
