reading calms you down, lowers cortisol and helps you focus, so, yes, it can make you more NT. It's not a normie hobby, though. Few people read, so you won't have anyone to talk about books with.

You shouldn’t stop yourself from pursuing a hobby as a result of “people seeing you as non NT”.

It doesn’t matter. At the end of the day, they will continue to judge you for one thing or the other. Just do the things you find interesting and you will naturally find people with a similar outlook and hobbies.
