Is recessed maxilla normal?

I’m East Asian and 15 turning 16 in 2 months. Is it normal for me to have a recessed maxilla? When I feel the bone directly besides my nose? They feel like they’re further in than my cheekbones so like they’re curving inward. I’m not sure if this is normal and I can’t find any threads relating to this

Both my parents look like they have flat but they’re kind of old and gained a bit of weight so I can’t really tell if it’s going inwards through the fat

I know but is this normal? It appears flat but it feels like it’s going inwards. I also know some other Asian people that do have a bit of forward growth but idk if that’s just genetics

I’m too scared to send pictures of myself here but the line from the base of my nose to the corner of my eye is going straight down. I don’t look abnormal or weird or anything; I just want some forward growth to improve looks a little

I’m really uncomfortable with just sending selfies and such in general. All I want to know if it’s genetics that causes this and if it’s improvable

It should mean minimal, your habits when u were younger could have also played a little bit into it
I played soccer my whole life and im only partially recessed
idk soccer players usually make a lot of sprints and breath with their mouth open
so
habits definitely play a big part

East Asians have notably flat midfaces, it is "normal". The only solution for this is sadly surgical.

In asians yes it's really usual you should get lefort in europe rather than in asia if you want to advance your maxilla, also look into infra malar orbital implants because when the maxilla is recessed most of the times those areas are hypoplastic too

Normal by what standard modern humans more specifically asians some recession is standard normal no tho its technically a deformity as it is improper growth

Not really, literally written in your DNA. Good habits and a good puberty can make it not be severe, but your maxilla simply won't be ideally projected with all of that. Also, thumbpulling doesn't work.
