Is removing wisdom teeth ALWAYS necessary before having jaw surgery?

I still have one and the surgeon didn't tell me anything about it tbh, I have been in braces for a long time

All the orthos have told me that so far because the BSSO cut is right where the wisdom teeth are. All the orthos I've seen have been sleaze balls who want to rip me out of money so I wouldn't be surprised if they're trying to make their job easier by removing them.
