Or is it best to just get a natural slight tan?
And don’t talk about beta carotene it does not work
 
I'm looking for answers to this same question. As far as I'm concerned, the more tan you are the more imperfections you can get away with as your skin tone will conceal them more. Retin-A is for winter use if you aren't tanning and need glowing skin.

Depends on your age and skin condition. If you're under 25 and don't have any sun damage, then tretinoin isn't worth it, period.

However, getting a tan through UVA exposure is ALWAYS a bad idea. If you must get a tan, it's better to use MT2.
 
Yes it is. Retin a everyday and Botox every 6 months starting at 25 is the fountain of youth. Provided you keep your hair.
