is 2, maybe even 2.5-3 years of SARPE worth it (at 18+)

I still can not decide whether to get it or not. I'm looking at countless before and afters trying to decide but I can not spot any differences made to the face except the obvious which is the smile and altough I do want to fix my smile (6tooth and gum visible) I really don't want to spend 2years looking like a complete retard even more than I look now for what seems to be MINIMAL aesthetic changes

The only real difference I saw is with people who have a pretty recessed maxilla

Even looking at tiktoks of Bwython, and altough he got MARPE and not SARPE, he got it at like 16-17 which would yield almost if not completely the same results as SARPE, he did improve but so little (maybe im just blind af)

maybe the before and afters on google aren't the best but I'm still not sure if it's even worth it if only getting it for aesthetics purposes

if you have a actually narrow palate then yes.

Bwython is not a good example. Anyways, it would be worth it because of your 6 tooth smile

I did consult an orthodontist and he said I have a slight narrow palate, still dont know how much change face wise would happen

in what way not a good example im wondering?
the guy had like 35mm palate, surely it would make a big difference him going to like 42+

I mean, I have yet to see any real change on his face or smile. Plus he said his breathing is still fucked. Also, he got MARPE, not SARPE and for way less time than you would. Anyways, you probably shouldn't base your decisions on tiktokers, its too easy for them to fraud before and afters

how old are you

Send palate
palate is slighty narrow (39-40mm self measure) and I already got told I could get SARPE but thats not the thing im wondering about.
I'm talking about how much the face would change

but why would he fraud that he got almost no results? makes 0 sense
and pretty sure he had MARPE for 1.5+ years. I don't know how significant the results between SARPE and MARPE are

39-40mm aint bad 2-4mm more from sarpe wont change much on your face and u will look cooked for 2-3 years so i think its not worth it to waste your early twenties with sarpe which will have minimal impact on your face anyway. if u dont have any airway problems then DONT do it

You can get marpe
When I first went to the orthodontist I said I was looking into MARPE but he seemed like preferring to go the SARPE way. Would there be a big difference in the process and results of MARPE if I can even choose between the two

well it was self measuring, my orthodontist said I was slighty narrow so I'm guessing my measurements were a bit off.
But still smile is kinda cooked, I know atleast that fixing smile would benefit me but if it's only the smile Im wondering how worth it it would be.

Also if I do decide later in life I want SARPE I would hate myself bc I started even later than I should've so.

Idk man, is there anything less time consuming I could do maybe?

Sarpe doesnโ€™t really change your external face like Marpe can (bizygo and nose widening). Only thing that might change is your mouth width depending on how much widening you get; like if you go from a narrow rat palate to a wide one.

isn't sarpe just marpe but more guranteed to work since it relies on surgery rather than relying on the device to be able to push bone apart while the sutures are not fully closed? basically just a stronger marpe

also some guy talked about possible pfl getting longer but idk if thats pure bs or not among the things that you mentioned

and wider palate would lead to better development but ig its kinda too late for that at 19?

No sarpe doesnโ€™t affect anything north of the anterior nasal spine because of the lefort 1 cut

Pfl wouldnโ€™t change even with marpe because it shifts the whole orbit laterally (very marginally like <1mm), not widen it
