my life isn't the greatest rn but i know it will get better, yes I'm suicidal because its chronic, I did have a therapist but not anymore because I think its cope, and yea I'm getting slightly better

Depends on what your motivation for it is.

I personally did it because i felt extremely guilty and hated myself, so knowing the fact that i had done damage to myself satisfied me and i felt like i had done something good.

Plus looking at it the days after, where it was still wounds gave me some sort of comfort.

But obviously it isn’t gonna fix any of the problems that are causing someone to do it in the first place, so just like any other addiction, it’s stupid, and temporary.
