Sliding genioplasty: Moves your real chin bone , looks more natural, allows forward/vertical adjustment (to an extent, by rotating the bone slightly) , permanent, best for moderate to severe projection.

Chin implant: Adds a synthetic piece which is less invasive, easier recovery, good for mild projection, but can look less natural and may shift over time.

in a nutshell. if you just want projection, chinwing is your go to. if you want natural, permenant, and better results. genio

I would also add genio is a lot better because it tightens your submental region
