Is smoking before an exam a bad idea?

I’ve never smoked in my life. I’d want something to kill my nerves so I can focus on the exam while in a calm state. Would smoking a cigarette 30 minutes before my exam be a bad idea?

why do you even need to be calm? just don't give a fuck and you will be calm, you are nervous in part because you don't want to be nervous so stop caring and as for the exam just stop caring and that's it, you won't be able to just stop caring but you should be able to reduce nervousness levels
