At the very least use sunscreen on your face and get some sun exposure on your body. Limit eating seed oils bc it makes your skin more prone to sun burns

Anyone who doesn't use sunscreen is stupid. Even the people who worship nature as the epitome of how we should be living our life don't make sense using internal logic. White people are white because of their environment, if you aren't living in England where the sun is never out then you are in the wrong environment for your skin and need to adapt using modern technology. If you live in New York or something you are not in your natural environment, the natives of North America have brown skin for a reason.

I haven't looked into it but I could see potentially chemical sunscreen being carcinogenic but zinc sunscreen just reflects UV light off your skin with a physical barrier there isn't anything bad about it. Sunscreen is the best thing you can do to maintain your looks later in life. Aging is one of the worst things for your looks, and the vast majority of skin aging is photogenic. If you are white and not living in some gray ass country like England sunscreen is an absolute must at least in the summer. I would honestly recommend putting it on year round regardless of the weather and in the summer just avoid the sun entirely with shade, hats and long sleeves as well as reapplying often.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't get sun because of course its amazing for your mental health and essential for vitamin D. The UV is not high enough to harm you between 9am and 5pm so for sleep, vitamin D and mental health I would recommend going outside as soon as you wake up and going outside around sunset. Eat or talk a walk while outside when the UV is not high to maximize the benefits without photoaging or increasing risk of skin cancer.
