Is t3 + t4 really more effective for weight loss then t4 alone?

And why do thyroid hormones make you lose weight? From eating much less i presume? Whats wierd is how in my medical textbooks it says hyperthyroidism causes higher apetite but weight loss while hypothyroidism causes lower apetite but weight gain. This doesn't seem right at all jfl, my apetite is very low and im also skinny.

How does T3 feel like compared to T4? Tagging Peatcels (idk all of you)

No thyroid coffee and sugar for that matter all increase calorie expenditure. Sugar actually makes nutritional deficiencies more apparent by increasing their utilisation and that’s why sugar is a double edged sword and why peat recommends liver milk etc to combat his relatively high sugar diet. Dnp for example works through the same principle by uncoupling fuel oxidation to ATP production making the body work much harder for creating the same energy currency ( ATP).

Your masking hypo w stims . That can cause one to be skinny but still very hypo. Healthy skinny runs on thyroid hormone , unhealthy skinny runs on cortisol and norepinephrine ( caused by stims).

Well plain sugar isn't healthy for me simple because it doesn't come with all the cofactors needed for the metabolism of sugar, especially thiamine. But whats strange to me is how even if i eat more then 300g of carbs daily with majority comming from fruits, i still end uo with just 1.1mg thiamine, it doesn't seem right, like its not enough for proper metabolism. But idk how thiamine exactly works, is it by a certain amount and more isnt better or does the needs increase with increaze carb intake, if thats the case then 120g of bread carbs has more thiamine then 300g carbs from fruit

Thiamine is just one of the things which increases glucose metabolism. You can take niacinamide as supp for eg peat recommends orange juice for this reason the niacinamide helps the sugar to be utilised

Serotonin and high cortisol can mask appetite some times, try cyproheptadine for the serotonin and glycine or progesterone for the cortisol.

Seratonin im not familiar how it effects apetite but cortisol drastically increases it, i was put on a corticosteroid to go into remision with IBD and my apetite became endless on its, its one of the common side effects. Seratonin should lower apetite tho but idk if my seratonin is high
