the nose is long due to the vertical growth of the maxilla. The nose just adapts to that. You could theoretically shorten the nose entirely but it’s not gonna shorten the underlying facial bones that caused the soft tissue to develop in a way that created a long midface ratio. the bump and hook in the nose is because there is not enough forward projection of the lower part of the maxilla to accompany the forward growth of the nasal nose. This could be caused due to a genetically large nose, an injury that caused your nasal bone to enlarge, or excess vertical growth of the maxilla coupled with a lack of forward projection of it.
