Is the “optimal” or “primal” diet actually worth it, or just cope?

this isnt about what diet is “the best” or whatever, im more wondering if eating super clean actually makes a big difference in real life

im 21 and ive had long stretches where i ate really clean, like grass fed beef everyday, eggs, whole foods, all that. and ive had months where i was eating chick fil a and jersey mikes basically everyday. honestly ive felt pretty much the same no matter what i eat

people always say if you eat “optimal” you get crazy energy, better focus, or you stop getting stuff like acne or migraines or random stomach issues. but from my experience it kinda seems like the pain vs gain just isnt worth it, id rather keep eating foods i enjoy and keep kicking the can down the road

so im wondering, for people who actually went all in on a primal or “optimal” diet, do you actually feel like youre living on a whole different level compared to everyone else? or is it just cope and not really that big of a deal

idk about primal

but i assume eating healthy opposed to goyslop is probably gonna make you feel better, potentially enhanced with placebo

after detoxing, if you stick to the diet you will see changes in skin health, facial bloating, overall mood and energy improvements, ect. the diet isn't going to change your bones like how some primal diet advocates say it will, but its definitely good for health indicators and overall health as well.

Its better then average diet but its still not ideal. Just eat wholefoods and ignore most vegetables and your fine.

what matters is ur eating animal based, raw-carnivore is just a step beyond that (harder to get into but works even better)

How do you detox?

How do you detox?
firstly your body will need to make the switch to ketosis, and during that switch you might feel tired, low energy, and dizzy. also, you might experience some acne or other side affects over the course of a couple months into the diet, we accumulate lots of toxins over our lives and acne is one way for our body to release those toxins. the best way to hand the detox is to just stick to the diet.

sure i dont disagree but what im asking is will i even notice a change in my quality of life or am i just labeling myself "healthier" because when i have eaten better, i havent noticed anything much. if the idea of the optimal diet could guarantee id have energy throughout the day and absolutely zero annoying health issues like headaches or anxiety or brain fog etc then id be 100% all over it, but nobody can guarantee that so the win to lose ratio seems low ykwim

All I'd be careful about is the saturated fat. This much available saturated fat on the daily is only due to cattle being grain fed and inactive. You'd need lean red meat, where fatty cuts are less of the carcass. Wild game is healthier than beef or pork. Chickens are more lean cuz they're more mobile and active, hence why its a healthier meat option. Don't fuck with high LDL (although you also must measure ApoB etc). Eggs are safe in this regard. Im not primal btw im mostly keto (eggs) it helps with being a student tbh

If you need energy then the primal diet isnt optimal for you, You could take theyre advice of eating more red meats and eggs, And some advocate of getting your hydration from fruits instead of just drinking a shit ton of water which will ruin fluid balance which you could also take into account. But you also need to realise that carbs = Energy and the primal diet is lower in carbs.

I suggest you look into ray peats way of nutritioning. Imo he objectively had the most optimal diet but in your use case it would be even better. Heres a short food selection list to start:

The primal diet is just a trend

goal is to have more energy and nutrients therefore better hormones and longer lasting wood, better focus and motivation (how long you can work for)

strong wood and long lasting strong wood is a very high priority for me jfl

personally (im putting u on rn) i noticed way better wood with raw yolks, cooking them destroys some signaling or whatever to GABA receptors so when its raw u get more wood

Makes you feel good and have more energy but that’s it is a very small change

do u just like swallow them whole quickly like a shot of vodka or sum or how do u consume them cuz surely u dont enjoy raw yolks lol. or what if i put raw yolks in a smoothie? or like a protien shake? does that rape them or nah

i feel like if i manned up for like 20 secs and hurried and swallowed a few egg yolks that would be way better than cooking and eating a optimal meal for 30mins cuz its fucking BORING
