Therapy often doesn’t work for men because it focuses more on talking than solving Most men need structure, direction and most importantly results. not just emotional validation that women get. It alike paid venting rather than real progress more of a temporary cope than a proper fix.. unironically joining the army building discipline and taking responsibilities helped me more than therapy

At the gym rn, so I won't make a long post explaining the exact situation I'm dealing with. Might make one in the future about that topic.
I'm very disciplined, etc, but I might be a bit too disagreeable/ anti social. At least I've been told that.
I might be too quick to think people want to slight, provocate me and have bad intentions. I might be too quick to anger and might overstep lines, especially with people ik and am comfortable with.

Ik that the common idea here is that therapy is very feminine. But we live in a pretty feminine society... You can't just threaten to crush someones skull if you feel provocated by them. At least if you want to do well in society and with other people (or at least close friends / family).

I still think therapy is mostly cope. It tries to tame natural masculine instincts Aggression isn’t bad it’s part of what drives men to compete ,and achieve. The problem isn’t having that fire it’s not knowing when or where to use it. Society just wants men to be dull and harmless but that’s not strength.

Maybe a team sport would be a good option for men. Makes sense that I always gravitated towards individual sports, like swimming, martial arts, gym.

I also think that this mentality is making me perform better in many ways. It's making me more lonely, which I dont mind.

But it's also hurting people that I do like, like family.

I think if youre mentally stable. Which none of is thats why we are here. You will be More attractive for these emotional beings

And what's your suggested path to increase mental stability?
I mean agreeableness and neuroticism aren't on the same axis.

Idk I’m Not mentally stable but I think Therapie would help a lot and just in general becoming aware of emotions and behaviours of us

I've been talking a lot to chat gpt in the past, but gpt 5 is unfortunately worse than 4. More restrictive, you have to "guide it to the answer", etc

There are some valid therapeutic methods

over if your paying 200 dollars a session to get gaslight when gpt exists

I don't think men should get therapy. But if you do get therapy, ensure that your therapist is a Psychiatrist/Psychologist. A psychiatrist is a Doctor which means they've been through 10-15 years of schooling. The reason I say this is because there are now fast track programs to becoming a therapist. All they have to do is take a 1 year course and they can start giving therapy sessions it's a joke. You can end up being therapized by a foid who has been through less schooling than you

no, but if nothing changed from the circumstances which caused you to need therapy, it will not have any effect. Therapy is supposed to be about re-writing mental pathways you constructed when you were down bad, to properly adjust to an improvement in your life trajectory

Most people who get surgery and ascend 1+ psl will probably end up needing therapy to properly heal the mental scarring they received when they were chopped.
