Is there a legit safe tanmaxxing routine out there?

Ok guys I am currently struggling to get a tan because I prioritize my health and my skin not aging rapidly, so I use sunscreen. The downside is, that I cant seem to get a tan. Are there any guys here who had the same struggle and told me how they got a sun tan without using self tanner and shit like that while still blocking UV rays and not damaging there skin?

tan = skin damage = fucked collagen and high chance of skin cancer

You need beta carotene. If you don't have the skin type for tanning you won't achieve a tan though. It really all comes down to genetics.
