Is there a reason I'm getting 10 times more matches on tinder than hinge

Was genuinely gonna rope when I was on hinge, weird thing I noticed I kept received matches notifications but nothing was there

On tinder I get atleast one match a day lmaoooo it hasn't even been a week and I turn off the app most of the day so I'm not visible


I don't even got a bio, half my account is empty and most pics are garbage quality with zero context, I got 5 pics and 3 of them are bathroom mirror pics


I already matched with 5 goths so I like it

I have emails of my matches but then I check and it's like they unmatched me

I think the app is set up sometimes to make you either fully complete the profile or force you to buy premium

Vague question. But to answer OP, the reason he gets more matches on Tinder is because there's a larger user base (plus a lot of bots) and there's more swipe selections. On Hinge you only get 7-8 swipes/likes to send per day. It more so aims for quality of matches opposed to quantity

I recently deleted tinder after rather disappointing experience, I got lots of likes this time, but actual match quality was still bullshit, way below what I could pull IRL...
So it's a waste of time if you seek quality women, maybe on bumble women are actually looking for ltr, but still, it's always worse than actual meeting someone in real world

Yeah. The algorithm determines how your profile is pushed (good algo = your profile gets seen more, bad algo = opposite). It usually takes up to a few days for the algorithm to determine if you're chad or not. And if so, then the likes start compounding. Eventually it starts to wear off tho, unless you purchase boosts. Also things like mass swiping, or being too inactive has an effect as well.

This is just my experience tho, not really an expert behind the mathematical formula of how it all works.
