Hormones? Diet? Skinny fat can cause it I’m not sure and can’t find much on it here could just be genetics to be honest but my brother does not have it at all

Could be bloated. Lower cortisol and don't eat inflammatory foods. As you said you could also be skinny fat

Would skinny fat cause higher bf in the face? I’ve been eating less recently but I seem more bloated and puffier in the face than ever really. I just thought body fat overall decreased face fat regardless of muscle mass

Face fat is the first to come and last to go in most cases. Its all genetic but dont starve yourself you will do more harm than good

If you are 15% bodyfat or lower a puffy face look means you lack good bones usually.

Its completely genetics. I have a solid jawline if im even at 16% bodyfat. I lose weight in my face first and cant get below 11%ish bodyfat without looking sickly.

I also know of dudes who are legit 8% bodyfat but still have roundish cheeks.

Its mainly genetic, but there are for sure things you can do to soften the bad parts. You can figure out ways to shred water (supplements, diet) and you can eat a ton of potassium which helps you hold less water. Eat low sodium. Exercise daily. Eat a cleaner diet. Lastly there are things you can buy specifically for shredding water.

Look at pro mma fighters. They legit drop 35 lbs in a few days. A large percentage of that is water and glycerin storages. Seriously with the right routine you can shed a ton of water weight.
