Is there a saf(er) way to naturally tan?

I used to burn as a kid (pale redhead) now I purely tan. Legit spent 3 straight days in the sun in Texas and got nothing.

Does using a sunscreen that sletiy blocks either UVA or UVB rays make it slightly less damaging for your skin? I don’t know type of UV rays are responsible for what

(I know nothing, so don’t clown on me)

Tanning in general is terrible for you.

If you use MT1 or MT2, it speeds up the process which means you get a faster tan with less UV exposure.
You can also use carotenoids for undertones, although this is not going to give you that tan look. More of an additional thing to add for coloring.
Self tanners are also decent as long as you find a good one. For example, bondi sands is pretty good.
