I mean it's pretty easy to tell if your forehead's big by just looking in the mirror.

use a manual harmony measuring tool/app it's not just about the size of ur forehead but how big is it compared to ur lower and middle third

the hair on my forehead often doesn’t stay in one place and sometimes it isn’t thick enough, i always had a big forehead so i grew long hair in early teens.

I was thinking of something like a really thin headband or a skullcap under my hair to hide it

Grow it out and go to a good salon and ask for a French crop or side swept fringe, js straight long hair doesn't necessarily help fraud it, you need to style it. Also silky hair suits more if ur going for fringes which you can use leave in conditioner for. You can use a beanie till then

NON - FRAUD METHODS : Derma stamp, hop on finasteride if ur experiencing hair loss/receding hairline, or get hair transplant to create a new hairline, or last option forehead reduction surgery wouldn't suggest it to you and most other ppl cus ur forehead doesn't look crazily big and the results from it don't look natural most of the times. Also if you have a recessed chin/underdeveloped jaw it makes your other thirds look unproportionately big in comparison, so you can fix those using orthodontics or surgery.
