is there any actual proof that accutane stunts growth / affects height or is it all larp?

I took it at 16 and didn't grow anymore, make of it what you will. Also accutane actually makes acne way worse when you start taking it which can lead to scarring. Oh and my acne came back after a few years. It should only be taken if you have like severe cystic acne. Jfl at people who take it for mild acne.

Fuck. How many years exactly?

I took it at 16 and at 18 I had acne again but not on my face anymore but on my neck. Then later it moved to my shoulders and back. However I didn't take a complete course of accutane because I was worried about side effects.

I had a friend in school who took accutane. His hair was norwood 3 at 16, and his collgen was ruined he looked early 30s.

also if accutane decreases IGF-1 wouldn’t you be able to naturally increase this with diet, supplementation and exercise to level it out?

Idk but i wouldn't risk my IGF-1 levels during my growth years

aren’t there certain bones that won’t fuse until around 25? would the tane have any effect on that?
I don't think those bones that won't fuse until around 25 make any significant difference also how bad is your skin that you are considering accutane?

there are some documented cases of premature epiphyseal growth plate fusion on high doses of isotretinoin, albeit quite a rare occurrence. there’s never been an established and proper scientific link between stunted growth and accutane, it’s more of a potential concern that might possibly happen in a small group of patients.

How do you know if you were predisposed to growing in height after 16? I was 6’2 a few months before turning 15 and I haven’t grown any taller after that.
