I seriously think I have some sort of autism or mental disorder, but I still function well enough to do good in school and I’m not special needs either. Any benefit in going to try getting diagnosed or no?

Getting diagnosed with ADHD can get you a stimulant prescription.

There are likely benefits you could access. My high school allowed for extra time, notes for all tests to be brought in, etc for students with mental problems including things like ADHD.

hmm stimulants might be fun

ngl though I feel like unless you’re htn+ you automatically get less respect if people realize :hnghn:
yeah it depends on the kind of neurodivergent
if it's a genuine gift and talent you get insane advantages over everyone
if it's lower iq and extreme autism there isn't much you can do but get an iep unfortunately

i’m not special ed/needs or anything though, they probably wouldn’t let me since my teachers know i can function fine academically

will look into it though

I got access to it for ADHD. There's a difference between that and "special ed" classes. I was doing fine too, it doesn't require you to do badly.
