Is there any harm from taking melatonin during puberty?

I take a very little dose like 0.25mg-1mg per night. But I tried sleeping without it literally took me 60+ minutes to fall asleep. Did I cook my own melatonin production? And during puberty does is it really that bad to take? Or am I good to take it especially with my small dose?

I was planning to take it but I heard that it ruins your own brain's melatonin production and you'll become dependent on sleeping drugs

Doesn't happen dw, I mean if you.tske high doses religiously then yes. But it does lower your estrogen

If u really want to sleep quick like me u have to put on night mode on ur phone at 10 and if ur on iPhone there is a setting if u press 3 times on the power bottom your screen will turn like really orange to block of the blue light it helps so much

melatonin kills free radicals, reduces oxidative stress & protects the mitochondria. really good supplement for anti aging imo

I had insomnia last year couldn’t fall asleep. And then had problem with falling asleep. I would lay in bed for 2 hours before falling asleep no matter what time I went to sleep. It’s Better now. Some night I can go to sleep without it but others I can’t. I wish I could but my parents are strict and don’t believe in like getting prescribed medication or getting diagnosed with some shit like that

i take around 70-80mg a night and feel nothing.
I guess im getting its antioxidant effects now or something I dont get tired

Melatonin is an extremely powerful antioxidant and has good benifits.

People take 500mg and dont fall asleep because they take it for months
get used to it and only get the antioxidant effects.

"150mg" of melatonin will not harm you.

He's worried about shutting off the bodies natural melatonin production hence why i said keep it low, not because it isn't good, if he wants antioxidant i doubt melatonin is the right choice, since its very expensive and inefficient compared to some other potent cheap alternatives
