Is there any location where just 1ml of fillers will make a significant improvement?

HA will draw water, a little goes a long way. Filling zygos or similar areas is always an horrible idea though, since the HA will just flatten out, and if you continue filling you'll just end up looking like some uncanny freak.

Your lips naturally have creases, so if you fill them, the creases will disappear, resulting in the lips looking unnaturally smooth.
In my opinion, the only valid place to get filled is around the malar region.
