Is there any way to make hair denser apart from a transplant and min/fin?

I always had pretty thin hair which got worse once my AGA started. I'm currently on Finasteride however it has only helped me maintain, thankfully I didn't lose too much ground.
Now, how can I make my hair denser? I don't want to use minoxidil because i get sides such as heart ache.
