you can, and im wondering because I need someone to rate my face :ogre::soy:
online friends are completely imaginary

you simply imagine there is someone sending you messages on a screen

but in reality

it is not a “friend”

it is simply a delusion

can you see the friend? hear the friend?

obviously not

it is simply just words on a screen

friends are more then a physical entity, you know someone is a friend when you can trust them, interact with them , and converse with them :ogre:

haha yes exactly

can you trust an online “friend”?

obviously not

seeing as you’ve never met them

& interacting & conversing is the same thing

at the end of the day

it is through a screen

this interaction is completely imaginary

yes, you can

trust is simply thinking someone will do something if requested

I have trusted many online

the interactions you have with others online is not imaginary

you are still conversing with words, through written form:ogre:

This is stupid. You can trust some people online more than others, and you use many many factors to make that determination.

no

you simply have the built up illusion of “trust”

but in reality

you have never met this person & you truly don’t know them

only the persona they show online

nature & animal foods is the only way to find peace in life

you trusting their personality online means you trust them in general, as you cannot make the distinction between a persona and a real personality

the same applies to real life:ogre:

nature is not absolutely everything, you making an account online on a computer about how looks matter proves this

I agree on animal food, I eat meat

you prove yourself incorrect by saying nature is everything, then spending time with something that is not nature

This is so fucking funny.

By this logic, you cannot trust anyone in person too.

Do you think meeting a person in person suddenly displays everything about them???

You could meet a mass murderer psychopath, but you can only decide to trust them by the persona they choose to show you. If this person doesn’t tell you they rip the legs off of defenseless insects, you have ZERO and I mean ZERO way of knowing that.

You dont know anything about a person, online or in person, besides what they CHOOSE to tell you.

Doesnt matter if you are trusting an IRL person or a online person, its still a fucking gamble.

i don’t own a computer, i have an iphone

& nature & looks go hand in hand seeing as your development & animal consumption affect your looks

Ok so why are you even arguing that online friends dont exist?

Your argument should be that friends dont exist, that is literally the logical conclusion to the line of reasoning youve given (friends need trust, you cant trust anyone)

Did you not think that far ahead?
Do you concede?

the fact that people do "trust" others, despite your reasoning that it is ultimately impossible to tell whether someone is speaking truthfully or not proves that you can trust others, be it in person or online :ogre:

Bhai your on org ofc people are gonna make fun of you:feelsping:
If you want an honest assesment just post asking for one, also the people seeking ratings confuse me, what difference is there if you are rated lmtn or hltn you get the same amount of interactions before and after asking for the rating, it does not change anything. What has value is to ask for your strengths and failos and how to improve your failos

the difference in ratings answers what your nuanced potential is

example: you are an HTN, but you act as if you are an LTN, you will be treated lesser then if you had changed something:ogre:

You did not understand my point.

Why did you say “online friends dont exist” at the start of this argument, when your actual argument is “friends dont exist”. You shouldve said that.

If someone said “Kill all jews” I would argue with them on the basis that they hate jews, but then if later on they say “I said kill all jews because I think we should kill all humans”, that would be a whole different point.

I know theres a term for this in debate, I just forgot what it was, its been a while…

Edit: Its called shifting the goalposts, and it is intellectually dishonest

@theblueprints
Did you know that this guys actual position was that friends dont exist, even in real life?

well

the conversation was about online friends specifically

not having friends in general

even though my belief is the same

it would be weird to talk about my core beliefs when the topic is online friendship

You are intellectually dishonest. This reply proves so.

This message implies very heavily that you need to see and hear someone for them to be your friend, and that if you could see and hear them they could be your friend.

YOU KNOW that it doesn’t matter, even if you could see and hear them they still wouldn’t be your friend, because friends dont exist.

So why are you intentionally hiding your true position, maybe because you think its absurd?

IQ is imaginary bro, can you SEE a so called "IQ"?? Of course not because it is a delusion, a product of your imagination, some random symbols to which you attribute meaning of something you cannot see because it doesn't exist
